Málningin er nokkurskonar þykkni sem blandað er út í vatn. Best er að byrja á að setja smá vatn í glerkrukku, svo dropa af málningu út í og hræra eða hrista þar til liturinn hefur blandast vatninu.

Auðvelt er að blanda litunum saman og búa til nýja liti.
